Miss Amanda Lee 1943 is getting ready for her Saturday Night Date.  This laminated photo measures 12 x 12 1/2 inches.

Betty Grable-esque Amanda is one bona-fide vintage fanatic!  Her primary flights of fancy include cutting a rug and relentlessly collecting 1930s and 1940s fashions (no closet too large)!  One of her other passions is vintage pin-up art.  She enjoys recreating that 1940s look perfectly through her photos.  Amanda is a freelance writer who holds a degree in journalism, and her favorite topics include vintage weddings, fashion, and classic movies.  Every day is a retro day to Amanda!

Pin-up girls were popular in the 1940s and 1950s.  Pin-up girls were usually models or actresses who were considered sex symbols.  A pin-up girls mass-produced photo was displayed informally and was a part of pop culture.  Most of these photos were mass-produced through calendars, magazines, or newspapers.  One of the most popular pin-up girls was Betty Grable, an American dancer, singer, and actress.  Her images were known to be posted in the lockers of G.I.s during World War II.  Marilyn Monroe was another popular pin-up during the 1950s.
